I decided to participate in a blog prompt from the daily post today because it worked with one of the topics I wanted to blog about.
What is your biggest dream? When you close your eyes and picture heaven on earth, what does it look like? What does it taste like, Sound like? Smell like? Feel like? Who is with you? What are you doing?
If you have trouble with that exercise, try to remember being a child, maybe around 8-10 years old, what did you want to do? If money were no object, what is your biggest dream? If you had all the skills necessary to accomplish your greatest dreams, you innately had the knowledge, what would you do with your life? What were your biggest dreams when you were younger, before well meaning adults in your life told you it was impractical? If you could be or do anything…..
Do not allow negative thoughts to challenge your dream. I am not referring to the dreams of your parents, your teachers, your coaches, friends or significant others, I am talking about what you dream of, when you strip away all the reasons your mind and other people tell you makes your dream impossible. When we were younger, a tender age, before the adults in our lives told us that our dreams were impractical, or that we didn’t have the talent, or that we could not make a living doing that dream… our dreams were pure. We had not yet learned to challenge the dream.
Now, GO GET IT! Whatever your dream is, you are only one decision away from going to get that dream. What are you waiting for? Why wouldn’t you want to live your most authentic life? When we are able to pursue our biggest dreams, we are able to live our most authentic self. The most successful people on earth, be they philosophers, authors, celebrities, singers, dancers, etc., are usually those who made their biggest dreams a reality.
So, dream big, strip away all the negative influences that we have learned and dream of what will make your soul sing!
